Our beautiful school caters for the needs of children in Grade 00 and Grade R. Our well-equipped classrooms and our spacious playground ensure play-based learning. Our Grade R’s follow the CAPS Curriculum and are well prepared for “big school.” Our dedicated staff strive to create a holistic, fun, and creative learning experience for all of our learners.


School gates open at 7am
Teaching start at 8am and ends at 1pm
Waiting class is until 1:30pm
Aftercare is until 6pm

Our daily programme is as follows:
GRADE 00
7:00am – 8:00am : Free play
8:00am – 8:30am : First ring
8:30am – 9:30am : Outdoor play (Grade 00)
9:30am – 10:30am : Second ring and art activity
10:30am – 11:00am : Snack time (Grade 00)
11 :00am – 12:30pm : Outdoor play
12:30pm – 13:00pm : Story time and home time
13:00pm – 13:30pm : Waiting class
13:00pm – 18:00pm : Aftercare
GRADE R
7:00am – 8:00am : Arrival and free play
8:00am – 8:30am : Numeracy ring
8:30am – 9:00am : Second ring
9:00am – 9:30am : Perceptual / gross motor outdoor ring
9:30am – 10:45am : Art activity and 3rd ring
10 :45am – 11:15am : Snack time
11:15am – 12:30pm : Outdoor play
12:30pm – 13:00pm : Story time and home time
13:00pm – 13:30pm : Waiting class
13:00pm – 18:00 : Aftercare
Parents must provide their child with a healthy snack and juice for the morning. Children who attend aftercare are given a cooked lunch and an afternoon snack.
Our Grade R classes follow the CAPS Curriculum as per the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement.
Ring time includes perceptual development, language development, maths, life skills, gross motor activities, auditory and visual skills development, computers and coding and robotics.
The Grade R are introduced to a new sound/letter of the alphabet a week. They then need to go home and discuss this with their parents. The homework covers many skills e.g. sorting, language enrichment, auditory and visual discrimination, problem solving techniques, fore and background skills and fine motor skills.
All gates are kept locked. A full time security guard is stationed at the gate, as well as patrolling the perimeter of the property throughout the day.
Security cameras are installed in the playground as well as all the classrooms.
All our staff are first aid trained.
We follow the GDE 4 Term cycle. Our aftercare is open during the school holidays, closing only for public holidays and for a short break in December.
Our Grade R’s take part in coding and robotics as per the Department of Education requirements. The Grade R’s also have a 30min computer lesson once a weel.
There is no extra charge for coding and robotics.
Our Grade R’s are included in selected social events that take place at the Primary school.
The Primary school tuck shop is open to our learners every Friday.
